Services

Our current clients include:

Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA)

www.nwda.co.uk

Billy Hunter is contracted by NWDA through Orange Zero Ltd as a Regional Business Adviser for the region’s textiles and clothing sector. The Regional Business Advisors (RBAs) are senior business people who have been selected to provide rare experience and insight to small and medium sized businesses (SMEs) in the region's priority sectors. Each RBA works in the sector in which they have spent their career. This allows the region's SMEs the opportunity to talk to advisers who know their business and sector.

The RBAs are able to use their knowledge of business issues within those sectors to help SMEs deal with the range of problems that they face, some of which are peculiar to their particular business. As well as providing their individual skills, the RBAs are able to draw on the strengths of their colleagues, as complex modern business often overlaps across sectors.

Regional Business Advisors are able to make introductions where appropriate, and help SMEs to work together, for example to tender for large contracts. They are also connected to the wider network of support delivered through Business Link and the many other agencies and Higher Education Institutions.

TechniTex

www.technitex.org

TechniTex is the technical textiles node of the Materials Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN), a UK government funded initiative. The Materials KTN is an overarching network of networks in Materials, set up to bring together the views of all in business, design, research and technology organisations, trade associations, the financial market, academia and others in the value network across the materials community.

The Materials KTN and its network groups provide a range of activities and initiatives to enable the exchange of knowledge and the stimulation of business innovation. Billy Hunter is contracted by Technitex through Orange Zero Ltd as Knowledge Transfer Specialist. The position involves working in the area of Technical Textiles using knowledge transfer experience in brokering collaborations, raising grants or private finance and organising networking and collaborative events.
